Painted Black '07 Headlights CCFL Halo Mod w/AUT Eyelids Night and Day Shots!
I got a great deal on some 07 headlights from a member, so like any other sane 350z freak would do I immediately proceeded to bake them in the oven, take them apart and take sand paper to them.
I almost regretted it...
I saw Tac-M’s thread on his CCFL halo’s and needed to give it a shot. I just had to have them. It seems like he had a much easier time than I did though. I bought a G35 kit and it had a great set of ballasts, but the rings we’re flimsy. I broke the only ones out the four that would fit. I then went searching for another source for the rings.
I found one guy on the whole internet who sold kits by size for really cheap (Cheap enough that it didn’t bother me much when the first I broke a lead on my first set, costing me another week). His kit had much sturdier and thicker CCFL rings but the ballasts proved to be bargain basement at best …after I put out the fire, I used the ballast from the old kit and voila! Success!
Here are my results. Let me know what you think. Sorry for the crappy pics…
Thanks to Tac-M for leading the way (sanding the bezel was pure genius!), Mr. Sparco for the wiring info on the 06 headlights and lve2xlr8 for the hookup on the 07 headlights.

Not a HUGE fan of the halo mod, but I do like the eyelids and the painted black lights. I also am a big fan of the corner's... I'm not sure how good they would look on my MB 07 though :/

My first set oh halo's with the great dual ballast came from ebay. I broke the rings while test fitting. The other two sets I got from this guy:

The only bad thing is the leads are at a 90 degree angle from the actual lens so the first was a clearance issue with the smaller diameter rings. At first I was going for the Candaddy look. But alas, no clearance. After the second set broke I went to the 95mm's.
