Default Here's "Marilyn!"

Haven't had much chance to post pix as Marilyn and I travel across the states for these 7 weeks. I finally got a dsl hookup here in Annapolis, Maryland and so will post a few.
Here she is in Florida, near Destin.
Here once again in Florida with Scott's Chrome Silver.
Here posing in some pretty nice company with Scott's boss' Viper in Florida. They sure attracted a lot of interest as I set up this shot!
Here Marilyn poses in North Carolina amidst the Dogwood and Azealeas on a very cloudy day.
Here she is in Norfolk, VA.
Finally, here in Annapolis, MD at the docks.
We are headed for NH tomorrow (27th) for a meet with the bunch from the northeast. Regards, Jim N' "Marilyn."

Westby, Actually those pics were taken on Okaloosa Island infront of the Ramada Inn on the gulf side. You're waiting on a Lemans Z? Should be pretty easy to find in this area. You should try contacting Tom Smith at Sandy Sansing Nissan in Pensacola. He should be able to find you whatever you want.

Default doh

Knew that cheesy waterfall looked familier, I'm guessing that other pic is of the bay from that parking lot where the kite boarders usually are. Well I've just been looking for a dealer that will give me a good deal, I talked to one guy from Sand Sansing and he qouted a price a thousand or so over MSRP (not including handling charges or whatever) Same thing from Hampton in FWB. Lloyd nissan in panama city price had no mark up, so they're the best bet so far. Thinking of checking up in Atlanta, perhapse some of the bigger dealers up there are running deals. I hope..

One of the guys i know bought a Lemans track in NY and had it shipped here. He lives in Destin. He saw the car on auction on ebay but it never sold, contacted the dealership selling it and got an incredible deal. From what he told me, like 1k over cost. I bought mine from Sandy sansing and paid 600 over sticker, but then again i jumped in on the list and got the car in October. For me it was worth 600 extra to be the first in FWB with a new Z.

Gorgeous pics! Did you get a picture of Marilyn by herself in front of that hotel/house/whatever it is in Florida?

Oooh Destin! I used to go there all the time growing up - is the Donut Hole still there? Have a Dutch Creme filled for me if it is!

Oooooooh!!! Jealous!!!

Is Sexton's fish market still there too? Best damn shrimp in the world...

Let's see...on the east side of town, there was a fancy restaurant and then next to it an old school beachhouse with a breakfast place...Best damn breakfast. But I can't...

Back Porch! That's the name of the restaurant....if it's still there, what's the name of the little place next to it that does breakfast? =)

/moooooan

I miss Destin. Prettiest beaches...

Jim:

Are you still in Maryland? I was in Annapolis visiting friends on Saturday. I live half an hour away.

Check your PM.

Hey Grayfox, when's the last time you were in Destin? If it's been over 2 years you probl. wouldn't recognize it. There is so much growth. Most of destin near the Donut hole is the same, but when you drive about 1 mile east it's totally different. I can't think of the resturant next to the back porch, the only ones i can think of are Scampi's and Gratzi's.

Default Back home

Commasense, I just got back home last night and thought it good to try and catch up on the mail. Sad to say, my mailbox was way full and it rejected a lot of PM's, yours included. I am home in Phoenix now (8,756.2 miles and 5 weeks later!) so it looks like Annapolis is out! My trip planning suffered a blow when I realized how difficult (read: expensive!) it was to stay in touch at the motels each night with my laptop. Most of the stays were dial up and many were long distance too so I didn't get to post/read each night at all as I had planned. Secondly, as I look at the pix I did manage to post, many were/are too dark and contrasty, thanks to the laptop TFT screen as opposed to the monitor on my desktop and the quality has suffered.
Wish we could have gotten together tho. Regards, Jim

Last time...umm...sometime in late 80's? I remember even then, it was filling up...=P

My folks' first time share was in Destin...Sailfish Yacht Club? I doubt that's still there...

Loved that sleepy little town - at least the one in my memory. =) Someday I'll make it back. The Donut Hole is definitely worth the trip (if it's still good!)
