For those interested- I got to drive this around for about 4 or 5 hours.... taking neighbors for rides and such. Very fun. Paddle shifters were cool. Easy to get used to. I still can't get over the fact that there is a clutch on this thing that's being actuated without a pedal (or at least it seems like there is a clutch).

Downshifting coming to a stop or corner is a hoot. The car matches revs with a "blip" of the throttle. I think it would get old after a while, but for my short drive, it was fun.

The car has two modes. Auto and Sport. In auto, you still shift with the paddles, but shifting is relatively smooth. Sport mode is like "dump the clutch" mode. HARD shifting. Suspension tightens up to avoid squatting on acceleration.

Lastly, now I know why people where hats while driving convertibles.... I'll be nursing my sunburned neck and face for a few days.

^^^

what he means to say is the GT3 is more practical since it can be used as a daily driver where the lamborghini is a mere toy.

I'd like to hear more about this too. I understand if one likes one car over the other, but that doesn't define which would make a better daily driver over the other.

How can the GT3 be used as a daily driver more than the Lambo? Understand that while I have an advantage of having driven the Lambo, I have never driven a GT3.... yet.

What I mean to say is that with the lamborghini you cannot simply just park it anywhere and leave it because you will have to worry about vandals. The gt3 is a simple car which doesn't attract so much attention because it is rather ugly and plain looking compared to the gallardo.

The gt3 can be used as a daily driver because of this.

I thought Audi bought Lambo and the new Lambo's are more reliable? Though I would love to have both the GT3 and any Lambo maybe the Superleggra Lambo would be nice to have.

Well I mean the GT3 is something you can use everyday without worrying about it. The gallardo will be vandalized and scratched up the first week you buy it, so that's why most owners don't even drive those things around that often.

Sorry, but flat black tends to be nasty looking.

I didn't know the M6 was quicker. I thought the lambo is lighter and has a much more powerful V10... or is the spyder version just very heavy?
