Ima keep it blue. Safe or not, it's here and it's going in.
Dude I have the 6pt cusco cage also. Prepare to hear a lot of $hit from people, but don't stress over it. As long as you like and enjoy it. Just drive safely. I'm getting some Bride buckets soon with Nagisa super low rails, so my and my passengers' heads will be futher away from the monkey bars.

Are these dedicated track cars where you're always wearing helmets and are secured in place with harnesses, or are you street driving sans helmets with OEM seatbelts? What type & how much padding do you have around the cage bars? Are the cages bolt in, or weld in?
I'm not asking to start flaming you, just wondering. I am having my cage welded in this week, but everything forward of the rollbar (a pillar bars, door bars, top hoop) is removable so that it is safe on the street when I'm not in a helmet and full restraints. It's a combination permanent welded in rollbar, with welded receivers in the front floorboards so that the rest can bolt in and out if I'm looking for the additional protection of the door bars for side collisions, etc.
Just picked up my secondary insurance policy. Did some mods already

I have never tracked the car or anything and don't really plan to anytime soon. At least not in a serious way. I think the only thing I could do is HPDE with this cage anyways. But the car is mostly just street/show car. I don't have any padding around the bars right now, but I'm working on that. I have a guy at Vivid Racing who can get me good pricing on it, and I just need to pick some up for the areas around my head. Once I get my brides, I plan to get some willans harnesses to hold me down, and I'm actually planning to have a local shop weld in a nice harness bar to my main hoop of the Cusco cage. That way it's still bolt in but the harness bar is all one part of it.
I really wanted the BR Engineering harness bar, which works perfect around the cusco cage. But they stopped producing them...
If you plan to have bolt in floor bars and door bars, I'm not sure of the legality for any type of track driving either though. But I have never really looked into the rule books
