i drilled some holes underneath the front air dam, then use two L brackets to mount the plates.

My front bumper scrapes, but not THAT often. Most of the speed bumps around my area isn't monstrous...most of the time i don't even need to angle over them. Some entrances are pretty steep, and at most i get a little scrape and i'm good to go.

My crude measurement tells me i have about 4" clearence from the front of my bumper to ground, so for me, it's still pretty much daily drivable.
