Nice pics, only suggestion I'd give is to take your car somewhere else besides your driveway to some place that's more neutral that doesn't have a lot going on like an empty parking garage or something. There's too many distracting things behind your car that takes focus away.

anyways, the car shots are at dusk, try using a fill flash from different angles (if you have a wireless flash) just to emphasize the car more than the background. just my opinion though.

you gotta love digital cameras, delete what you dont like!

I've never heard of a fill flash, how does that work? Do you know where I can see some examples of it in use?
Yeah the rims are Axis hiros in anthracite

Thanks, I know what you mean. All that's really around me within a 35 minute drive are parks, strip malls, and that's about it. That's the downside to suburbia. There's not even any really cool buildings or restaurants or clubs for scenery. I originally decided to take the driveway shots, because the sky looked really cool. It started to get dark quick, so that's why I tried the time laps.

well i see you're using a Canon Digital Rebel, so try looking for a wireless flash, trust me, they come in more handy than you would think.

a fill flash is just a setting on the camera for your flash (even the stock flash does it). it just "fills" the subject with more light so you can see more details.

i have to be honest, i don't have any real examples right now, sorry. i will try and get some when dusk hits here tonight.

here you go, it isn't quite dusk, but the difference is noticeable by far......

now with the flash, mounted on top of the camera..

notice how the smaller details are brought out. it is even more noticeable when it's darker outside. you have to try different angles, especially with the color of your car since it may wash out the color, which is why i suggested a wireless flash.

OK.......I got ya. I'll give it a try later with just the regular flash and hopefully some better scenery. Thanks
