What A Difference Photoshop Makes!!

I agree. Just because you know how to click on a filter doesn't mean you know how to use photoshop. I like the original pic better. Try just adjusting levels/curves and the color balance, and sharpening key points.

looks kinda crappy, like something i would do in PS, lol.
all he did was crop it and add filters galore.
nice rims btw
jim
edit - the key is taking a great shot without needing Photoshop. using PS is a skill, but taking a sweet pic without having to crop. sharpen, contrast, etc is even harder.

thanks for the tips guys, but i have never even used or seen a photoshop program in person. A buddy at work did this for me in 2 mins while we were waiting for our drawings to be copied.
I do hope that some of my pics will come out like some of the examples posted though

To the OP: in my opinion, the best "photoshop" pictures are the ones that enhance the best parts of the picture while retaining some kind of element of realism.
Don't let the reception of your "work" get you down... play around with photoshop some more and keep in mind some of the great pictures the people in this thread have posted for you to look at, then post some more work.

not bad, but the lens flare does cheapen it. If your pic was exactly the same, with lit lights and no flare... it would be a terrific pic. It's very rare lens flare looks good, and you can always tell ps flare vs. real flare.
