PICS after using Meguiar's NXT
I to use a leaf blower to dry my wheels, and in other tight places...
when you go to to the car wash the final step is a "blower" then towel dry...
I use the 3 steps from Meguiar's every 6mo and Meguiar's gold every other weekend, and I love the results.
NXT is a synthetic wax and Gold Class is a Caranuba wax...
I'll try Meguiar's NXT wax in the near future to see if any changes in the shine...

In any case, the leaf blower method has been covered and proven plenty of times in these forums.
As for NXT, how does it compare to Gold Class wax (also Meguiar's, if you've used that before)? How does it compare to any other wax for that matter.

I went to the detailing class that Meguiar's holds at its headquarters about a year ago. The instructor told us that was the best way to apply it. Do one coat a weekend for two to three weeks. I have done that to all my cars. Anyway, I have seen a noticeable improvement in all of my car's finishes. There is also a plus when using a synthetic wax, it holds up better in the heat. Here is a picture of my Z at last weekends Blackhawk show. Waxed it the weekend before with NXT.

Synthetic is nice for durability but i still would carnauba wax after a good polish for shine.

Speaking of FAIL...I dont even have to say it.

I used to drive fast after a wash/ before a wax, to get water out of the crevices, but then realized that this was not such a good idea because you are driving a freshly cleaned car on a dirty road, possibly hitting bugs etc. So I just dry extremely well, wax, and then go for a drive. If you waxed well enough, the water will run off anyways.

Very nice! How's the shine holding up with dust and other contaminants?
