I've also got a debadged nismo v2 bumper w/ cf lip that's going to be put on, however it's busy season at work and I have to park in the back lot in the dirt so I removed it this month.

^^ why you rebuilding the engine? planning for for forged pistons..etc? or just fixing it?

why u didnt swap to HR? you already got the hood.. all you need is the radiator core support.

 

 

Yea the head seals leaked big time so I'm doing a full overhaul.

I am looking for a H.R motor + manual trans actually. Would be nice to have a nice little upgrade if I get lucky.

 

i heard that HR is still more expansive than the 3.7 VHR!!

in UAE the DE sold for 3500 dirhams.. HR for 7000 Dirhams and VHR for 6000 Dirhams..


but for VHR i think u will need to fabricate new engine mounts.

Thanks brotha. Unfortunately, the 300ZX had to stay in Germany because it's JDM. The worse part is, it's a '96 so I can't ship it to the US for another 8 years. I might sell it.

Necro-thread bump! Throw back Thursday! (A couple of days late.) But ya, was looking at my car while washing it yesterday and thought. "Car hasn't changed much in the 5 years I've owned it." Had to pull out pics to compare.

Hahahaha.... not much changed appearance wise.... diff wheels (or more properly, "24 sets later"... ), a tad lower but otherwise, everything exactly the same. (And even after experiments over the last couple of weeks with spoilers, winglets, etc.... still love and keeping it exactly as I bought it! )
