If you shoot later in the day, the lighting won't be as harsh. Usually 60-90 minutes before sun set (or at sun rise). If it's a cloudy day, you can shoot at any time since the clouds act as a natural softbox.

As mentioned, turn the wheels to your driver side and it'll give you a more aggressive stance. If you shoot from the driver side, turn the wheels towards the passenger side.
