nice pics, Did you take 3 of the same pics at different exposures to get the HDR Image or does CS3 just take the one pic and creates an HDR image?

In one of the pix I had 6 different shots at different exposures. The rest just 3. Iam new to HDR so, by just combining 3 images it still wasnt perfect ( i must of done something wrong) so i had to play a lil bit with blur/ overlaying and some color editing. Still learning..

For lighting for film...we usually put our cam on a tripod and shoot 13 cloned images of acsending exposures w/ a pano lens then rotate the cam 180 deg, and shoot the same 13 over again. Then I stitch both exp. together for each of the 13 to make a 360 warped view then we do the merging and pano transform in paul debevec's " hdr shop ". -- sometimes a easier way is to shoot a mirrored ball for a 180 enviorment. Once you make the hdr enviorment image, you can have a instant light match for any 3d object you're rendering.

Some cameras like kodak and such you can actually download scripts and upload them to your cam to generate the diff. exposures w/ one click.

no worries..your stuff looks cool. keep up the good work...Its pretty fun toying around w/ the new color range in cs2...sometimes you can get some interesting effects if you just over crank a portion of the image w/ a soft edge mask as well.
