x2, maybe it's because it look too much like a sticker, and you can still see some parts of the silver showing.
yea u can see very little silver... thats how they were made i assume to leave a little space to get them all on...was 5 pieces per handle...look awesome in person guess the pics dont do it justice...
Idea and quality is good, just bad execution. Paint the door handle darker or something? Or possibly create a direct replacement might be better.
i might paint whatever silver is showing with a fine brush, tape off the cf so i dont get any on there but then theres no turning back down the line b/c if i ever take them off their will be black lines on the handles...but i doubt ill be taking them off so why not...i painted the 4 screws on my intake duct to match and this is how that came out...

direct replacent would be the best way but also probably a lot more $$$...with overlays its hard to get every bit covered...i may paint the silver that can be seen though...think it will look a lot better
I really don't understand the point of covering things with carbon fiber just to add "style".
Functional carbon fiber is great. Even wet carbon fiber if it replaces an OEM part is fine. But carbon fiber just for the sake of carbon fiber... in my opinion, just paint the piece instead.
