Looks well done. Ive never been a fan of painted brake/battery covers I think it downgrades the car. I like the STB and engine cover though.

Thanks for the comments. I'll take into consideration your brake/battery cover advice and maybe photoshop it black to see what it looks like. You may be right though that it looks better black. =)

So Um... Am I the only 1 that doesnt see the DIY for this? The title did say DIY Engine Painting rite?

I like what you did to the Engine Cover. Not liking the red brake covers though. Hey were the heck is this DIY? LOL

Also did you paint the strut bar or get it powder coated. I like the way it came out.

I think by the DIY he meant he did it himself...not that he was writing a DIY on paining the engine covers. I believe there is already a thread on it.

Hey, thanks for the comments. I guess I should have clarified that that there are no instructions. I meant I did it myself. Thanks for the contructive criticism on the brake/battery cover, unlike the guy above with the civic remark. I gave it some thought after you and Alberto mentioned it and I think it would definitely look better black. I'll probably get to it soon.

I painted the strut bar also.

Thanks! I'll post new pictures with the black brake/battery covers once they're done. I'm glad some appreciate the effort. It's easy said than done especially with proper masking, prepping, spraying, etc. without it looking like a hack job. Turned out really good, nice and even coat, etc.
