Hey there. Just thought I would say hey after signing up on the forums. I just bought my first 350z the other week. 2005, used. Never had one before, never thought I'd get one until I drove it. I didn't really like the idea of a 2-seater but after driving it... just fell in love with the power. It actually seemed to have more room in it than a lot of 4 seating sports cars too, so that was a big plus.

A little history. I'm 26, I work as a network administrator for a college. This is my third car and definitely the nicest I've ever owned. I have had a lot of trouble in the past with speeding tickets, suspended licenses, etc. So my insurance is absolutely killing me. Overall this was a great decision I think though, I've been very happy with it.

I need new tires and rims definitely, first buy though was a stereo system. Got me an AVIC-D3X from crutchfield which should be arriving in a few days, along with a nice alpine subwoofer and amplifier. Can't wait!

Nice. You got the 35th Anniversary but where are the 5 spoke rims?

I don't know for sure the exact model, I assume it is just the base model (no cruise control, etc, etc). I read the stickied top 100 questions thread and, while I know 2005 was probably an exception, as I understand it they still released different models other than the anniversary edition.

I definitely need new rims though, these are killing me. Just after this huge purchase, then the stereo system, going to be a while before I can afford them. :P

Not all 05's are the anniversary special models. I have a 05 also but just not the 35th anniversary model, but the yellow color was one of the anniversary model colors.

Crutchfield had it for $799, $100 more than you linked but the crutchfield kit came with the harness cables, dash adapter, bluetooth box, ipod cable, and remote. All that would be around $900 off the site you linked, so overall a pretty good deal I think.

Not sure exactly, maybe 45 minutes. Real close. If I don't feel up to keeping my license again, I could probably make it in 15 with my Z.
