alot of people here(including myself) subscribe to the theory that if you can't mod it right, don't mod it at all. The average joe doesnt know how much your wheels weigh or what size they are or the quality, and how that effects performance. Some hold the car to a different quality/performance standard, for others it's just a car.



IMO, there's nothing wrong with OEM wheels...

 

Not true. Some people are running SportMax wheels that look very good. Those are inexpensive. Some people run some Sterns wheels that look good. There are also some Ruff Racing wheels that are very nice.

You guys make it seem like we are only saying we dont like them because they arent Volks, when in fact that is not the case.

The reasons not many, including myself, dislike the rims:

- Too big for a stock body Z
- Center caps come to a point (Looks like you could take someones knees out with those stupid things)
- Definatley belong on any of the following: (Impala, Monte Carlo, (Insert Ghetto *** Ride)

So OP it is not because they are not Volks. It is because they are ugly, too big, and out of place.

Ok, ok....I don't know how many of you guys actually "race" your cars, but I certainly don't, and have no intention of doing it. I bought the car because I love the look of it. I like for it to look good when I'm crusing, and I think it does. I could give a **** about performance, cause like I said, I'm not racing. If you're not getting paid to do it(Nascar, Indy, etc...), then you aren't racing for real either, so some of you are fooling yourselves.. But anyway.........

most people try to just shoot for a magazine cover, so we all do the things that are mostly popular with the import tuning world. then they do a hitler and trash everyone who is different.
(others like devinB may not even have a Z and just act mean on the internet )

i have had that come up from a few people here. i have TSW rims and since they aren't Volks or Works, a couple people decided they weren't nice looking. normally i don't care because opinions are like a-holes.......but i KNOW for a FACT that if the center caps said Volk they would love them, especially since Work Meister wheels look like a baboon's butt, but are JDM, so they are "hot".

then again, i expect a bit of negativity from people since i don't have a problem giving someone else a negative opinion i have when it comes to morons badging their cars incorrectly - FairladyZ is RHD...........duh.

Well it looks like your car is clean/not dirty anyway. Those wheels are lets say different.

 

not a fan of the wheels but like people said if you like it roll wit it. And i share the problem with you after i park i have to look at my ride at least twice its OCD.
