Not sure why you would use that lens for snapshot pics, but no matter. How is the light output on those painted 03-05s? Is it just the brights that are affected, or is the standard HID light less bright too?

yours seemed to be pretty harsh.. probably caused by some attachment you have on the lens.. i assume it's also causing the pics to be not so sharp.. I know the 40D is more capable of a sharp picture than that..
