My NEW 06 Lotus Elise - Chrome Orange PICS!!!!!!!!

Congratulations.....Toyota power right???
With so little weight to push around, power requirements are minimal. Most Lotus Elises feature a Toyota-sourced (and Yamaha-built) 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine.

Power for the Lotus Elise comes from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Toyota-sourced engine benefits from Lotus-designed intake and exhaust components and a tweaked engine controller. The result is a broader power band and an increase in output to 189 hp at 7,800 rpm and 133 pound-feet of torque at 6,800 rpm.

Ditch the engine you got and put a turbo hayabusa engine in it built to 500hp.
oooorrr this insanely nasty hayabusa derived v8 making 400hp at 10,000rpm
This is how your lotus SHOULD sound!

(wish I had this in my z, but imagine turboing that v8 lol)

Get on lotus talk and learn before you mod. Modding these cars is about as expensive as modding a porche.

Secondly, this thing has ITB's and it is a high rev motor, so this would be the WORST engine to turbo!!!

Edit: and you seriously can't fit a turbo hayabusa engine in an elise? Isnt a motorcycle engine smaller then a k20?

Traction is a huge deal for the lotus guys. It's the reason why they only get 5,000 miles on a set of tires. Go learn about Lotus's before you shoot your mouth off again
p.s. the gt wing lotus uses helps the areodynamics, so yes I WOULD get it!!!

i dont see why you all think you couldnt fit...im 6 ft tall and i have like a good 9 inches of clearance above my head. as long as you can fit in a bucket seat like a bride then you should be fine in this car...
i love it...and yes its a daily for now until i drop 2k on a piece of crap civic. lol

This is why Im going K20.

The K20 responds much better to mods than the Toyota motor.
