I has test pipes! :) [VID]
Big thanks to ZGlass for hookin up these Strup Test Pipes. I got them wensday nd went down to my friends shop on yesterday and within 50 miles my SES light came on I did some searching and found some answers, but the SES or CEL light is on because it's tricking my o2 sensors right? No harm done to the car/engine? And would that light go away when i put my stock cats back on? The pipes came with non-foulers, but I'm thinking about extending them if that helps at all... Well, enough talkin here's the video for you guys!!!! Oh ya, these are on the stock exhaust.

I really don't hear much rasp other than natural VQ exhaust note, due to the camera quality. I think too many people think they're hearing the sound of rasp in their head at times and mistake it with a mean exhaust note, but either way ~ it should be raspy ... considering STRUP makes unresonated test pipes.
I got the same pair of test pipes, and I really like how they go along with my tanabe exhaust.
Good choice and the stock exhaust sounds much meaner. Very nice. Much better performance than a high flow. And considering when we gain so little from these mods, might as well go for the one who'd supply the most...

so longer the extentension for non-foulers less chance i have throwing on the CEL?
Is the smell normal? I smell like unburnt fuel or something not sure how to describe it during idle when i have my windows down.

Do a search on test pipes and/then non-foulers. You will get all of your questions answered. I have test pipes on my otherwise stock exhaust system, too.

some people will have the engine light with the non foulers some wont. My light stayed on most of the time. It went off soon as I got the stock cats back on. Well after I reset my computer.
