You don't get good things handed to you on a silver platter. Through Andys hustle, hard work, great eye for building cars, and talking to the right people... He is able to put together this fine piece of artwork. Its not easy at all, but seeing the final product makes it worthwhile.

+1 I work for the County of Riverside in a job that has nothing to do with the industry. Andy introduced me to the right people to get me started and now I'm working on a deal with Yokohama and Pioneer Electronics, in addition to my current sponsors.

I can't thank Andy enough for not only being a sponsor, but for believing in my project and providing me with great advice.
Sorry, back OT.

I think I just shed a tear. Junior and Mel are 2 perfect examples of normal guy's that do not work in this industry that were able to build an awesome car and still able to get recognized and obtain features for events and media, all it takes is a little help along the way.
Everyone always says its all about who you know and I just laugh at that statement because it is so false. My whole perspective is that it doesn't matter who you know, its all about who knows you.

These 2 could not have hit the nail on the proverbial head more when it comes to building a magazine worthy car or network. I'm in Houston, Texas and work in the medical field. Being in a city that doesn't have a car scene like Cali or the East Coast put me at a disadvantage. People in the industry can't see my car up close like they can with cars out in Cali. However, staying true to my own style with huge help from Andy Kim, Dat Nguyen, Brian Duong just to name some friends from this site, I feel like I've put together a project that I'm very proud of. Nothing was just handed to me, I built my car up before getting the attention of my current sponsors. Andy pointed me in the right direction as well, and I took his advice and ran with it.
I can't thank Andy enough for not only being a sponsor, but for believing in my project and providing me with great advice.

Agree with every word. I don't work for the industry either, AND I live in CANADA! lol...
Andy, Brian, Cheston, Rickdogg, etc. have helped me so much along the way as well. It's amazing to see Andy's transformations throughout the years. And we both got the stock black 35th anniversary Z's pretty much at the same time!
