wow you really put some detail into that.

Not a fan of the red lip though as everyone and their mom seems to be going for that look.

the only problem i see with eletrical tape is once it heats up significantly, the adhesive will start to separate and peel.. i did the same thing with my RE30s with orange TA ring and vinyl cut from a sticker place, so far its held up, but i made sure the surface underneath the sticker was free from any oils/waxes to make it stick better.. you'll notice that brake dust will get stuck at the overlap areas so just be sure to wipe it off else you'll get a black streak.

good job.

the red is a little too bright imo, but it looks nice overall...not sure how you'd make it less bright, but whatever lol

Yes, before I applied the tape I cleaned the hell out of my wheels. I used wheel cleaner and then washed it again with warm water, after that dried.. The final step I wash it again, but this time the " lip " where the tape goes, I cleaned it with a little water and alcohol which made it 100% oil/dust free. Then I went ahead and did the wheel. I haven't had any issues with heat yet, I drove the car a lot too and no issues so far its rock solid. I think as long as there are no bubbles or any gaps for the dust to get in , it should be fine.

One big strand. You might need to do some adjustments with the exact-o knife .

Wow looks great. I can't believe you did that with electrical tape. I can picture myself getting through one, maybe two wheels successfully. Then the last two I get careless and it looks like crap. Good work!

I know. I saw the pictures. I did stuff like this to my 1995 3000gt.....not my Z. But hey, can't tell from 5' feet away so I guess it fly’s. I'm surprised that this hasn't turned into a mega flame event already. I don't suppose you're going to lay out racing stripes with duct tape are you? Cause that would be teh awesomeness and junx.....

ur TA theme looks pretty clean but honestly im tired of the nut jobs out there who do try and fail completely. They make my time attacks look bad and they're own cars much worse. I dont want people thinkin i have the same crap rims as someone who painted their rims black and made a red out line for a lip... Im really tempted to go out an get some HRE's cuz of all those guys.. But urs never the less look clean man, props.

I did these fast just to see how itll look and did it in less than 10min per wheel.. now even from a feet away you cant tell its tape. If you do it right that is. .. lol no, no "racing stripes" .
