i was right! im confused though....you said it was 100% jdm? your bumper has the reflector holes. i like the work you did removing the horizontal pieces. you think that will effect the structural integrity of the bumper? these bumpers have been known to stress crack the lower lip.

 

maybe he meant since its a nismo bumper its JDM even though its the USDM version

 

regardless i LOVE the decision, my v3 is getting painted this week as well...

mike, what made you decided to paint it all one color? instead of the two tone? it works well with your dark color, im going to paint mine black.

edit: any pics of your under tray extension? i still need to fab one up.

I won't install it on my car until next month. I have to wait for the paint to properly cure for one whole month before I can put clear bra. I'd rather leave it off so I have the liberty to drive my car when I want to in the next 30 days.

 

sick! I bet that paint job cost a lot since our color is EXTREMELY hard to match and hard to find the right combination of paint to mix it.

 

OMG, paint for this car is unbelievably expensive. I would have been further along with this car if it weren't for this color.

I'm curious to see how the nismo will look with oem sides... I like the nismo as a kit a lot, but I think the bumper may be too aggressive w/o the nismo sides to match. Definitely excited to see it either way.

EDIT: I mean the v1 sides he has... less aggressive than the v3 that match the new front.

 

You make me want to get an Interlagos Fire Z....seriously. Black has ALWAYS been my favorite color of choice with all my cars, but dam!, now I want this color...lol

 

Hey Mike, Can you show me what you made for the lower diffuser section? I need to make mine as well. Ive seen the thread where the guy made it out of sheet metal.

I guess it all depends on your personal preference on what "looks" aggressive. The bulges of the V2 sides IMO exposes the hips of the Z body whereas the Nismo Z sides are straight and actually bends lower as it goes to the rear. I didn't like it because on a perfect level drop it looks like the rear is lower because of the awkward shape.....there's no smooth flow. Also the Nismo Z doesn't have actual once piece side skirts; it's the OEM skirt w/an add on finisher/lip. Anywho, once its all together you'll see my point a lot clearer.
