First impressions of the Veilside treatment.
looking at the pics again i realize that the V3 front end looks good with just everything else stock.
the v3 front with the rest of the v3 kit (overfenders, side skirts, rear, and spoiler) doesn't look good.
keep it this way!!

Took a closer lok yesterday as I was buying some stuff fot it - air intake and filter etc. 2 things I noticed when I popped the hood for the first time since the treatment.
1. The new hood is incredibly light !
2. The new front bumper should be the same weight loss, but has a really nice aluminum bracing bolting it on to the car creating that extra length. Kinda like an additional crumple zone in an crash.
Time to drive !

hood is indeed FRP.
toykilla what's tacky about the number plate ?
It's a Japan plate, you don't get alot of choice.
Top characters and numbers say which area of Japan the car is from and engine class.
The 4 numbers are all we get to chose if we like. I chose 350 as that is the US name for the car. Here it is the Fairlady Z and has no meaning.

toykilla... It's the law -- front plate is required... and there is no "if or but" about it. You would get pulled over within a day. No exceptions.
dazee.... You definitely need some new wheels to balance the body mod, imho. Stockers just don't cut it.

Used to live in Kagoshima but haven't been in Japan since the early 80's. Back then I was too young to care about how car plates worked!
The Kanji denotes the area that you live in, it's meant to be by town but that's only a rough guide. My bike said Tokiwadai(?) even though I lived over 30km from there. The car says Suginami-ku which is only a small part of Tokyo. I guess it depends on how many cars/bikes are in a different region. Not sure about the classes that the little numbers represent, same as the side hiragana character is meant to represent something - I only know that if it is the last character of the hiragana alphabet it means rental car.
Will be getting new wheels when I find some nice ones that don't protrude as much as the stock ones do. My parking space is so small that being a little off means you mess up the wheels on the parking carousel.
Toykilla I'm sorry I can do nothing to remove the plates, but I will be installing the plate wedges behind it. This angles it slightly so speed cameras cannot get a photo. That's the best I can do.

toykilla... Entirely agree with you... but I have yet to see any car without the front plate. Pictures are even taken when entering many toll roads - not just for the plate.
That is why you see even the most outrageously modded cars with front plates... many of them pushed in so you can't easily see the numbers.

Looks Friggin AWESOME! That's the same body kit that I'm longing for. How was the fitment, did you have to do a lot of modification to make it fit? Also, what's with the gap on the hood?
The work on the car was done by Veilside at their company workshop, they even picked the car up and dropped it back off for me. Trying to get them to fix the gap but now have difficulty communicating - their best English speaker doesn't work there anymore. But reviewing my photos from when I went there, the showroom car has a gap too, although not quite as big.
Maybe it relates to having version II hood and version III front bumper ?
