LOL! That Porshe had such an attitude! But our friendly flag guy was only telling us the plan for that first session.

I can't wait to see the rest of the pics. And can I just say, I was SO proud of Caryle! She took to the track like a natural!

Bigtime ouch! What happened to that BMW?

 

Came out of the last turn too hot, fishtailed, overcorrected, hit the tires and flipped. The guys in the car were ok, which was pretty impressive considering what the car did.

 

Looks like they've made a bunch of improvements to Hallet since I did my first SCCA Regional there in 1990. Your photos brought back great memories! Thanks.

The track went to new ownership a few years ago (Stephen Brothers) and they repaved portions of it.

You wouldn't happen to also be on cougarnuts.com eh?

Michael - Thanks for the update. I remember the Stephens Brothers from that weekend. They were very nice to a first-time racer - and surprised that I beat all of their drivers in a rental car. I saw them again at Lagana Seca a few years ago when they were running the Sports Toyota series.

I've not seen Cougarnuts.com. I'll have to give it a look.
