09 Westcoast Z Nationals PICS No 56K
I'm not gonna say much, but the main thing I have against MSA West Coast Nationals is that the voting is "People's Choice". There are no judges. The number of ballots are not controlled so whomever brings the most "crew" with them or can get their hands on the most ballots is likely to win or place.
The event officials then go out and hand out more ballots to anyone intrested that is walking around.
That 2nd place "350ZM" did not win based on external merrits alone, but it also has Dual Turbonators under the hood, per the plaque that accompanies the car.
I'm dead serious!
I think most people don't know the difference...
My car was there too, but I just pay for a nice place to park. It's nothing special to look at - I don't expect to win anything with "just" 296 WHP and 260 WTQ, rims and tires.
The exception is the ZCG 280zx restoration - it as new as it was from the showroom and deserved a 1st place win. Also, the ZCG 370z (Another 1st place) was sporting the biggest calipers and floating rotors from Stoptech I have ever seen - ballsy!
