ive been on the forum for a little while now and have had my z for about a month but have yet to post pictures yet. the previous owner was bose corporation in framingham,ma and it was a show car to display the bose media system that is only found in the new ferrari 612 scaglietti. it has the bose media system, 12 speakers, and 2 subs. its a silverstone 03 enthusiast with 11k miles and i bought it for $19500.

i no i was gunna get comments like that. i used to have an acura tl with bose speakers that were awful but in this car with 12 speakers surrounding you the sound is actually really good. and the media system is sick: navigation, am/fm/xm, tv, phone, ipod and usb ports. that and the very low mileage is what sold me on the car. it isnt even on the market for sale and the only way you can get it in is by buying a ferrari that will cost you over $200000. so as for the bose speakers i could always replace them at any time and ill still be the only z owner with a bose media system

meh he didn't get burned and he has a pretty unique audio system that is super cleanly installed (tell me that center console isn't pimp).

a Z with that low of miles would be in the upper teens anyways, right? I am sure this system sounds worlds better then the stock bose systems they pass off in mass produced cars.

thats what i was trying to say..people are making negative comments based on their bose system or other bose systems theyve heard. when you have 12 speakers surrounding 2 seats it honestly does sound sick..and thanks for the comment on the console

surely TO MUCH...Bose is very pricey...not saying over priced just expensive.

Im sure it cost more then my full kicker duel 10" sub setup done by ultimate-audio in Orlando with sound quality not near as good...

Thats jsut me comparing it to the ""Premium Sound"" package that was in my Z when I baught it in 06..it was bose and it was CRAP.

I'll put Bose on my computer, home stereo, and Entertainment center...but never my car. On a side note, I dont see the speaker in the crease of the door...I see the opening for your vent and AC but thats it. Unless they replaced that with a speaker and removed the ability for the AC to come out the door vents...I HOPE NOT...but then again this car isnt really suppose to be driven right? just sat in to get a sample of the sound.

 

Dude, you paid fking $6500 for a stereo upgrade! That is the point we are trying to get across to you. If you think that's worth it then that's all that matters.

 

I think romey was referring to the fact that the title says "show car" so I, like him, came in looking for more than a stock car with an upgraded stereo system, not to take anything away from your unique setup though it looks very sharp. Congrats on the z purchase!

 

where do you get $6500 from? are you assuming that i coulda bought a z with 11k miles for $14000. because if thats the case find me a z with 11k miles for $14000 in massachusetts that i coulda bought instead of mine and ill buy it for you. zs in a close enough distance that i could go and buy for around $14000 have around 50k miles on them. and you say we like everyone on this thread is saying negative things. check the thread again and youll see that the majority of people have positive things to say

 

sorry thats my mistake it should say demo car. but then again i did say bose show car and bose is just sound so you shouldnt expect too many exterior mods but ya sorry about that anyways

 

Congrats on your purchase and best of luck to you.

However, IMO that center channel on the dash right by the windshield looks hideous. I do like the fabrication work of the center console oh and you're almost out of gas .

 

You got me on mileage, that will be tough to beat. However, there are a billion 2003 350z's you can find a better price on (higher mileage of course). I just think you would have been better off using your 20k on a 2007 Z. Enjoy the car dude, hope that sound is worth it.
