Fitment from the kit was good although their hole placement was off here and there. Also their bumpers don't include an easier and secure way of mounting the grill in the front. In all, I might say it may be better to go with the Nismo or VIS kit's Fiberglass. The Hybrid Fiberglass is very thin and a little scary. I haven't had a problem with strength on the bumper yet but the side skirts were not made well and a flange broke off in my hand when appling double side tape. I noticed the Nismo fiberglass is ultra strong and reminds me of what you'll find on a golf cart or boat.

wow sexy car. Are you gonna get an aftermarket emblem for the front? I think the black Z emblem will look pretty good on your car. Like this one....

Yeah I thought about the blacked out emblem but I shifted back to stock when I considered having someone hackup my bumper to steal a $100.00+ emblem.

Default TSX??

What is that car doing on the track, hahaha.....

Hey, where did you get your front bumper? Did a lot of prep work have to go into it?

Bumper prep was minimal. The paint guy did a little sanding and a smal amount of bondo-ing to smooth out the mold seams the side skirts were a pain to mount because they don't follow the stock mounting methods. But even that was not tough just time consuming figuring out what I could do without hacking or drilling.

That wasn't the worst, some guy had a Dodge Ram (albeit a V-10) and another in a bone stock Passat. But above all else... an instructor was sporting a stock Corolla with street/comp tires and the people following him said it was not really easy to hold on to his bumper in the corners.

Good times

The TSX was an instructor car and they are more about corner speed than flat out speed so decent tires keep them where they need to be. One time I saw a Base Cobalt (not the spec'ed out version, but the rental car version...come to think about it I think someone said it was a rental) and the guy posted a really solid time. Strong cars only make a difference when you have equal drivers on track, lesser cars can actually walk away from a lesser driver in most cases.

The bumper fit great but I'm worried more about "livability". It just seems like it not going to last after the first big hit. If I had it to do over I might go with the Strong fiberglass from NISMO or the V3 urethane cover from Nissan. But for now it looks and fits great and I'll drive it until it fails.

Got caught up in the driving part I wasn't keeping a close eye on the vitals. To my defense, it was first hot lap of the session (first two were done in formation at 50-60 MPH). I think the thermostat failed and stuck closed.

I was on the bumper of a '07 911 Turbo for the whole lap and noticed my car gave up more than a couple of car lengths on the straight. I looked down to find a problem and saw the temp gauge a little over half and climbing. I got off it and over but the temp just shot up afterwards. By the time I got a tow back to the pits the car was tough and slow to start, made a mean pinging/knocking noise, and was missing in at least one cylinder but possibly 2 or 3. I'm expecting to need a new short block.

Sucks

Nope, the bumper came from Ground Designs/Ground Dynamics (recent name change) but I know they get them from Shine Auto Project. Google them both to get more detailed info. Both are run with fairly good customer service practices however, I'm still questionable about the thickness of the material and overall ability to take a hit.
