Default AngryCOWofDOOM's Z is finally out of the shop!

Long story short, I was getting my 90k maintenance done at my Dad's friend's shop. After the maintenance, he drove it and forgot to put in the hood pins. Carbon fiber hood flew off and nicked the windshield, deformed my fenders, and made dents in my roof. After TWO months of not having my Z, they finally used their insurance to pay for it. I got brand new fenders, new roof, new Seibon CF hood with aerocatch hood pins, got my amuse front bumper and ings n-spec sides painted and a brand new windshield. Here are before and after pictures. I'll post more pictures when I get my new coilovers, rear camber kit, rims, and exhaust installed.

Thanks for the input guys! I actually sold my Nismo rims and then went to 19" G35 OEM rims and then those got damaged when I got in a hit and run accident in December and then I bought some Silver Enkei RPF-1 but sold them before I could put them on my car, so for now I'm rolling on stock rims. I'm personallly looking at SBC RPF-1 18x10.5 +15 all around. I'm still looking for rims right now so any suggestions would be great!

That car is in urgent need of some nice wheels! RPF1's are awesome though, so if you get those, you can't go wrong.

Have you pursued your rights re the loss of use of your vehicle?

They should reimburse you for the two months of lost use. You should
contact their insurer and get YOUR MOTHER****ING MONEY.

Yeah, I need rims ASAP. SBC RPF-1s seem so beautiful to me. Haha.

They're my Dad's friend shop so my Dad already felt bad for them having to use their insurance to pay for the damages. 2 months imo wasn't so bad for me, I was just on my350z.com 24/7 saving my money up for new mods. hahaha

Does your father own the car?
IMO, You deserve to be compensated for the entire downtime.. regardless of who's shop it is....
-If something happened to you, before you could pay the shop all of its $.. do you think they would be as understanding and simply wipe their hands clean?.......

I would not be so blase about that. Frankly the INSURER pays the money,
not your dad's buddy. And why did it take so long for him to file.

THEY BURNED YOU. Welcome to reality.

Don't wanna be harsh, but you need to stand up for yourself and not allow
people to make excuses for their own apathy.

My Dad's buddy's insurance pays for it but they're insurance goes up as well. My Dad was trying to cover their *** so their insurance won't go up as much. It took so long because my Dad was trying to figure out if he was going to cover it with his own insurance or the shop's insurance. Regardless if they burned me, I'm happy with the way things turned out. I was willing to have patience for all that was happening. What's done is done & I have my car back & I'm truly happy with the results. Thanks for your input.

God damn. I've had the amuse front bumper painted since December. They painted it the first time with black accents but this time, they repainted it because they said I had a crack on the bottom so they fixed it for free. You just made me notice they painted over my black accents on the sides. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll get it fixed asap! I'm 18 now btw. haha.

get 19's, they are needed to pull off the aggressiveness of the front end. Volk CE28N's are a match made in heaven with the amuse kit.

I'm not really good with rims and offsets so please don't flame me so bad. This guy is selling his Work VS-XX 18x8 +38, 19x10 +38 (5x114.3) w/ tires (70% tread all around 215/35/18, 275/30/19) and +25 spacers all around for $1400. The rims in this picture are the exact rims I'm getting. Would that be a good buy? Thanks.
