Default different stages of my lemans sunset Z

hey all, was just looking through some old pics and got to thinking, would be kind of cool to show how my car has progressed over the past couple of years.

here it is when I picked it up. I tinted the windows immediately.

unfortunately, I didn't take pics of the mods off the car or as they went onto the car one by one, but here it is with a couple of upgrades.

the nismo spoiler was the 2nd thing I did after the tint. there was a pretty extensive process / story behind it but in the end it turned out excellent.

I really, really wanted to get rid of the stock 17s. I was uneducated about wheels and tires entirely, I hadn't modded a car prior to the Z. I found a steal of a deal on some 19" Tsw's in the wrong offset for the Z, from a local that upgraded to lmgt4's. they had toyo t1r's on them with some decent life left, and he wanted like 600$ for them, I couldn't say no. they looked alright. I believe they were 19x9.5 in the rear and 19x8 up front, in some really bad offsets, +35 and +40 I believe.

I eventually added spacers to them, but wasn't happy.

I added my 2 way paging alarm / 1 mile range, remote start unit, and my lady paid to get me a new head unit, and to get my under-strut bar sub / amp installed, great bday gift : )

I also installed a magnaflow 3" exhaust setup, pop charger, and plenum spacer, at this stage.

the t1r's on the first set of wheels I bought were really worn down in the rear after 6k miles or so, they had really bad camber wear from the prior owner. I decided it was time to sell them and step into a wheel size with more tire choices.

I was on the hunt for lmgt4's but this was right after they were discontinued and sold out at rock bottom prices. I couldn't find em and gave up, the time for new rubber was now.

I decided on rota grids in 18x9.5 +20 all the way around. they look great, and in the year and a half I've driven on them (driven hard, and hit a lot of pot holes.. ), they've held up really well. I think they really set the car off. they will make due until I feel like splurging some silly money on some forged wheels.

random shot of the sub in the back as well

recently, I got my kit put on. shine auto nismo v2 front bumper, shine auto amuse side skirts, shine auto nismo rear add ons, and a jp replica diffuser from hr autoparts.

.. the lady also bought me a seibon TS hood for my birthday back in Feb.

the car is looking really sharp now. I am no where near done, but the spending has shifted priorities for a while!

(lol at the pictures.. hang on .. trying to find them)

ah here's some. had to get a new strut tower brace to appease the new hood and plenum spacer together.

few more..

thanks for checking out the thread! I'm really happy with where my car is at right now. I have more suspension mods planned out, I need better brakes for the track, and I'll eventually splurge on some nicer wheels.

I love the color combo! Lookin' great!! I think a black roof and black handles would really set that bish off though!

black handles are slated as a DIY project sometime soon! the roof, I am unsure of, because the hood will probably be paint matched (aside from the vents) in the future... also, if I did the roof, I'd probably want the hatch done as well, which means a lot of work : P

thanks. in hind sight I should have had the spot filled in and smoothed out, but I didn't, so the emblem was all I really had to go with.
