looks great. nice plate btw. was wondering so are u using the same kit on the repair build or did u purchase a new kit? thats why its better to install kits urself. u never kno wat kind of "customizing" the shop will do to get it to fit.

I got a different kit but the same style. Bought it from Origin. Still fit like crap. Angry Panda did a lot of fiber glass work to get it to fit the way it does now.

The only thing salvageable was the front lip. The original copy I bought was all polyurethane. So, I kept the front lip. Really glad I did with all the scrapes lately!

Looks awesome. Out of curiosity, why did the last shop have it for an entire year? Seems a bit excessive...?

Also in the close-up shot of the rear, what is that black material running along the top edge of the rear skirt where it meets the rear bumper?

Yeah, I already have a couple of cracks on each side! Was going to keep the poly on the sides but the old ones were not usable anymore. Mike had cut and drilled so many holes into it.

Yeah, we were in the process of raising the car and found the runs in the paint, so I took a pic. When I got it back from Mike, the car was about a finger off the ground.

The shop had it for a year because of the really low price they charged me. It was pretty much at cost, so he had to work on other cars to get the funds for rent, materials, etc.

The black material is an OEM gasket used on Toyota/Honda bumper parts in between the bumper and fender. You can buy rolls of it from dealerships.

Very happy it turned out well for you. The car looks fantastic (although still probably not worth what you went through). And love the license plate. Congrats & enjoy your car.

Anyways, it worked out well in the end, and it just makes you love your Z that much more... Congrats...Super effin clean man.
