i'm starting to think you're the first and only owner of this diffuser on this entire forum! no one has chimed in with any firsthand advice yet.

so what exhaust are you gonna get? going back to oem in the meantime?

Adam at Z1auto says I'm the 2nd guy to buy one and the other guy bought it a couple years back. I believe I'm going to be the only guy on this forum that has one. I'm stuck with oem for now and not sure what I'm going to when I boost next year.

OOOOK here we go:

The installation was an *** PAIN!!! My buddy and I got it done in about 4 hrs the one thing I find very odd is that theres a uniform gap that goes between the back part of the bumper.. it took it off several times and tried different things and it's still there so Im thinking thats it supposed to be there. The fitment is an 8.. small gap around the rear wheel well but not too bad considering how massive this thing is, the CF weave is 1x1 and is pretty much flawless but there's is small little "opps" areas.

For that amount of money you would think it would fit like a glove. Does that gap allow air to blow between the underbody and the bumper? It seems that would defeat the purpose of a diffuser if so. Nice piece all the same!

I'm thinking it does... I've been looking at other diffusers and they don't sit flush against the rear bumper either. You should see the size of this thing though... and its one piece.

if there is that much of a gap in the rear, then i believe that piece needs to be shifted up higher, maybe re-adjust the mounts you have underneath the car to close the gap.

IMO if you work with it a bit more you should be able to make it fit better. I really hope that thing should fit better than that considering the money you probably paid.

Well I'm thinking that the rear has to have that gap to let are esacpe that is drawn between the exhaust and the diffuser itself. I will agree that the exhaust/diffuser would need to be adjusted but that gap will be there either way. You physically cannot move the main brackets forward or aft but maybe left or right. The sides for sure can be adjusted but keep this in mind... The exhaust has a cut out that can ONLY fit one way. If I try to adjust it forward(towards the front of the car) they'll be that same gap on the front side of the diffuser(wheel well). I'm going to do a better adjustment on the sides but that gap aft... Looks like it's ment to be there. The TS has a gap, Asuka has a gap, and the Voltex doesn't sit on the bumper either.

No offense taken... But unfortunately we have nothing to compare it to, hence my thoughts on the air escaping through that gap.

imo if that were the case they woulda make ducts or openings for it so it looks more natural vs the it doesnt fit look

What kills me about this thing is the sides are a PERFECT match to the Chargespeed spats. I will say since I understand the reason for the gap... It doesn't bother me that much but I'm overall disappointed with my experience. I guess being the forerunner isn't the greatest thing all the time.
