Just attached the APR Performance splitter I got from
I still want to attach the rear of the splitter to the frame with some perforated steel plates. As well as clean up the bumper grill I had to trim to attach the rods to the bash/crash bar. Other than that it's fully installed and I love how it came out.

Its angled up because the splitter is currently only attached at the bumper and the rods; so the rods are pulling it up. The plan for today, if it doesn't rain, is to use perforated steel plates to attach the back of the splitter to the frame of the car. Which should lessen the angle plus not put so much stress on the bumper.
If that doesn't decrease the angle I might have to buy some longer rods because they're just about as long as they can get when attached to the bash bar.
I just finished attaching 4 plates. I just used self tapping screws for the time being, if I notice them starting to pull out I'll switch over to nutserts and loctite.
As you can see the plates helped bring down the front of the splitter a bit. It's still angled because the rods are a bit too short, but I like the look of it and I cannot think of any negative effects since I'm not tracking my car. Plus it'll help prevent the front from scraping while driving. Let me know if you want any other photos.
Eeeeee that doesn't look good at all. Almost looks like you need to cut off some of your bumper to get it straight...
As long as you like it I guess.
If I cut the bumper then there's no place for the splitter to bolt in on the sides there which would cause issues. Even right now it isn't as ridged as I'd like it to be on the sides. If anything I'd just get a different front bumper.
If you're not going to trim the bumper and put together some basic L-brackets to secure the sides, I wouldn't run it at that angle and wait until I got an appropriate aftermarket bumper to run it parallel to the ground as designed. Just my .02

I haven't learned much in the way of aerodynamics, so maybe you can give me some info. Is there any issues with having it at an angle?
Well I think the point is to have the wind push down on the front of the car at speed, when its pointing up like that its pushing up on the front of the car...
At 75mph it might not be happy about its current state of affairs.

That being said, it does look like it would provide more "lift" than anything.
"For (a) splitter, a general guideline is to be 2x longer than the ground clearance to be effective. So if the bumper is 5 cm off the ground, the splitter needs to stick out 10 cm. They are kind of dangerous, and possibly illegal on street cars."
Not that you are going for full function, but such a drastic upward angle can't be good. Hopefully a more experienced track enthusiast like Len will chime in.

Thank you for linking that, I'm currently on my phone and will check it out once I sit down at my computer. I'd love to hear from someone who has more knowledge in aerodynamics and get their opinion on it. Though from my experience with it the last few days it feels like its creating down force. I've done some freeway driving, 75-80mph, and I haven't noticed any lift. It could be the placebo effect, but it feels like I have better traction in the front.

Yes some good sturdy L brackets that connect to the support of the crash bar will be helpful. Can get some slotted so can adjust the height.
I used some additional washers on the top side of the splitter to L bracket to help get mine more level as it was angled up as well.
Think longer rods will definately be needed no matter what you do.
