I bought the hood from a vendor last August and it was delivered in late December. I finally had time to install it last week along with a 3.5fd rear differential. I need to clean it up and get some better pics. The 07 hoods have grown on me so I had to switch out the 06. I am still debating on painting the hood and leaving the vents carbon.
I found mine on ebay last June or July. It came from a salvage yard and had 35k miles on it. We ended up taking the cover off and inspecting everything. We polished the cover to clean it up a little while it was off since I didn't want to spend the $ on the Nismo cover at the time.
Paint it but leave the vents carbon! I have an 08 oem hood and kinda wish I'd have bought the one that you have...but mine was $275 off craigslist. Too good a deal to pass on. I just need to paint it when I put my new bumper on too.

No, some dude had it on cl in bryan, he wanted 300, i offered him 275 and he took it. I met his dad at 1960 nd 45 without a hood on my car and we put it on in the hooters parking lot.
Yes. Since I was doing a carbon hood I had to get the version 2 [carbon] NRG hood struts. Installing them took 5 minutes.
Cool thanks. Might look into these then I can get the cooling plate and not have to worry about any prop rod issues...
If you're on the fence about painting it, don't. But if you want to do something that looks sick, look at tsgeekstylez ppw z and the way he painted his TS hood. Looks SO sick
