Default My one year progress...still much to go

Took some pictures of the car today so I figured I'd share my one year progress. When I got the car it was completely stock aside from the Tsw wheels and the StopTech cross drilled and slotted rotors.

When I first bought it I didn't even know the first thing about cars but I've done all of the work myself so far and I think its turning out good. Its a 5at but lately I've been considering trading/selling it and getting a 6mt. Still thinking about it since I put in all this work/money.

I obviously welcome the constructive criticism since I'm posting it on here. I know I have clearly have to drop it. I'm just waiting until the end of summer because I'm away at school and we have a terrible potholed driveway. I plan on getting rpf1's as well. I'll probably also hear that I need a shorty antenna too. I'm also 21 years old and I bought the car after doing 3 accounting internships, so its not from mommy and daddy Its only an 03 anyway.

Well here we go:

Modifications:
Authentic HKS exhaust
Motordyne 5/16th spacer
Injen SRI
Nismo v2 body kit - front/back from strafe and sides from shine
Tsw Vairano 18's
StopTech rotors
ProSport water/oil temp gauges
Momo shift ****
Pioneer head unit
Magellan GPS in dash
Blacked out tails and emblems
20% tint

Thanks for looking!

not bad for one year of ownership.

suggestions:
-black out that front mesh behind the grill.
-save up for nicer wheels
-06+ bixenon headlights

and judging by your auto shifter, i can tell you really want a manual lol. I say go for it, Z's go for so cheap now. I think something like that is worth the change. Just put stock parts back on if you still have it

Thanks for the suggestions. Never actually thought of blacking out the grill but I think I'll do that. I think I'm going to go with rpf1's. I might hold off on the 06+ headlights incase I sell this and get a newer z that has those already. You're right...I do really want a 6mt haha

My opinion ain't ****, but if I had your car, my next step would branch off from two paths;
1. Boost
2. Beautify

1. Self Explanatory
2. A. Bi-Xenons as previously stated.
B. Some nice Bride seats
C. 07+ CF hood, or just stock 07+.
D. F1 Racing side mirrors, or equivelant mirror.
E. Impending drop in the form of coilovers.

My idea!

black rpf1 in aggressive offsets would look great on the car. + with blacked out 06 headlights. Then a small drop. You seem to already know what to do, good luck

Bride seats would be really nice...I also considered Sparco fighter seats...I would do all of that but I'm still not sure how much I want to sink in just incase I go to a 6mt

My idea!

Yeah I was thinking black rpf1's with a +15 offset. I'd love to drop the car on coilovers, but if I come across the right setup in the marketplace I might jump on it. I was considering the Eibach Prokit with D-Specs and hopefully I'd only need a rear camper kit. Blacked out headlights would go really good with the tails and handles too

I actually didn't paint them...the previous owner did that along with the rotors and wheels...I guess he didn't have the greatest taste

I'd recommend getting some high temp paint and doing them. Would make the car look better

IMO. Ditch the canards, new wheels, and a drop

Likey. As for the headlights you could probably just clean yours up they look kinda hazy. No need to drop $600+ on a headlight housing. And unless you really like the mesh I say ditch it. RPf1s and a drop will be put you there!

I think I'd go with black actually. The orange is just so random lol I think he was trying to match the seats

When I ordered the front I considered getting it without the canards, but now that I have them I'd have to fill in the holes if I took them off which would suck. But definitely need a drop bad once I get out of this driveway...thanks

I actually did the headlight restoration kit last week. They look great right after and then hazed up a bit within the week. They look a lot worse in the pictures than in real life though. As for the mesh I would ditch it if I was FI and had a sweet intercooler, but it looks funny with a radiator behind it lol
