Default New Z Owner in SoCal - mr.brightside

Hey guys, just picked up a Silver 2006 350z Enthusiast a few weeks ago and loving every minute of it! I managed to take some decent pics of her a couple days ago so I decided to make a thread for it. Included are pics of my previous car, 2005 Honda Civic Si, and my current project car, 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback. The pics aren't the greatest cause Im not pro, so bear with me!

Plans for the Z:
I plan to keep the car stock. I've got a project car I want to waste my money on so the Z will stay mostly factory for now. I got rid of my EP3 cause I wanted something funner to drive that is stock. I was tired of driving around Los Angeles' messed up roads with full coilovers and worrying about dips and bumps. The Z is already pretty low and from what I've seen on this site, most springs make the car lower than what I want. Performance wise, I'm really happy with the Z, especially coming from a 160hp car. It's got the best sounding stock exhaust imo but I think it could be louder. Right now, I'm thinking about a JWT PopCharger, and maybe some test pipes to give the exhaust a little more sound. Ohhh, and the stock stereo could use some work so thinking of that too...

Current Mods:
Tints (I think)
JVC CD/DVD/MP3 Head Unit
Dynamix Computers 8" Touchscreen Carputer
Rear View Camera

Project Car: 1992 Honda Civic EH2

My old BIATCH...she will be missed!

2005 Civic Si EP3

Thanks for looking! I look forward to learning more and more about our cars from this site!

Welcome and congrats..

I like your yellow hatch too. How does the NA K series engines compare to the 'old' B series? I know nothing about the K series, I come from playing with the B series back in the 90s'.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Simply put K > B...the newer K-Series engines simply outperform and outclass the B series engines. You can fully build your B Series top to bottom, full boltons and tune, and MAYBE edge out a stock bolt-on k20. Not to mention the reliability of a stock motor...it still has so much more potential. You can even use the K24 Blocks and K20 heads together and get the best of both worlds with a torquey engine that revs past 8k. My yellow hatch is an 04 k20a2 w 6 speed, all stock just boltons, custom cams and Kpro = 248whp tuned @ church automotive in socal.

Welcome!

Hatch looks sick! I also bought my Z with the intent of keeping it stock. Well, I recently sold my GSR hatch to fund modifying the Z, lol.

Thanks for the comments guys!

From my knowledge the EG6 models were sold in Japan...the USDM models came as the EH models, plus it says eh2 on my chassis VIN so I call it what it is.

But my hatchback does have jdm eg6 headlights, tailights, hood and fenders...so it looks like one.

That makes more sense... back in the olden day's we'd just call them EG6's. I had a 1992 Civic DX hatch all JDM'd out. My Del Sol has:

EG2 headlights
EG2 License plate panel w/lights
EG2 full visors
EG2 door map lights
EG2 Gather's speakers
Mugen MR5 Wheels
S2000 Steering wheels
Glass top

The engine is blown so a JDM D15 is going in... their's no way in hell I'll pay 700.00 for a D16Z6 and not doing a big swap on it any time soon. My Z is taking priority.

lol thanks guys...its gonna be real hard i can already picture my car lowered on bronze or black te37s....i already want to get the jwt pop charger and berk test pipes. a vendor on here has good deals on them. i was talking to a guy on youtube with an 06 z and same mods and said the car needed to be tuned because of those two mods cause the car ran lean, any input on that guys? also a ? about the jwt pop charger, it just seems everyone has it on their z so i figured it must be that good. I always thought the cai was better but since a lot of people run the pop charger im thinking that would be the way to go....any info would be appreciated, thanks guys!
