We should just decide on a date in the future...give it at least 4-6 weeks lead time so everyone can set their schedules.

That includes a trip for you, mr PBS CLIFFRlP

Again, please post your brand and model of BRAKE PADS and TIRES. You guy make it sound like all that matters in braking is the size of your calipers/rotors.

As I said we are going to try as much as possible to do a single set of tires/wheels for this test, so in point of fact we were not making it sound so.

I think that is why we need to keep this small (in terms of number of cars), unless we can find a set that someone is willing to subject to considerable wear.

Or multiple sets of identical size/compound (stockers would be most logical)

Agree that otherwise it is completely pointless.

^ Tires are only part of the equation and I'm going to guess that you most likely won't have the time or the wheel/tire combo to fit it to each vehicle for each of the braking tests. And you still haven't posted your pads.

Haha, I'm not worried. Just want to see a fair and objective test is all. Either way, though, this will be a sick test for sure! I don't know what every participants' Zs look like, but the ones that I do know are pretty so there's at least that.

Just saw lgears car for the first time today in the Gables. I love the way those GTR brakes look on the Z. Funny thing I was looking at this thread just an hour before he rolled up next to me. Car sounded nice too.

Stoptechs with whatever pads come with the standard stoptech kit and currently Nitto Invo's but rears are close to dead, so that may change (to Yoko AD08's). 275/295-35-18

Honestly, I'm just here for a good afternoon with some guys and my car. Maybe grab a beer and some wings afterward. I'm not looking to set the new authoritative standard for BBK's or care that much about "setting up a perfectly equal controlled environment." That being said...this is a great idea, and I hope the fun doesn't get taken out of it in the pursuit to create a perfect "test environment."

Sick video btw and love the tape deck.

I second this. It'll be fun seeing how they all stack up. Talking sh** with fellow enthusiasts is half the fun of modding/owning a Z.
