Default Back to year 1971

Latest feature from SouthrnFresh!

Some quick words from the owner about the car.

1971 Datsun 510 that had spent the entirety of it's life on the west coast and was originally equipped with an L16 / 3spd auto making a whopping 92hp. It has since undergone a series of upgrades in an effort to build something that would be very track capable as well as a fully functional street car. To my knowledge this is the only 510 in existence with this motor setup on a standalone EMS.

Regardless cool build, i was debating NA SR with neo head, but got a really good deal on my KA so decided with KA-T instead.

Thats a super aggressive FD too, I thought 4.11 gears where hardcore haha...props though, thats things gota MOVE around town

Awesome! With some bodywork that would look perfect.

I kind of like its current state too though. Some of the rusty areas add a bit of character right now. Lets you know that the car is still old.

I like the body the best. Alittle surface rust in the engine bay. Looks great. Wouldn't change a thing.

It definitely a fast little car, I never got to ask about the sway bar though

Its the original color so I am going to guess he wants to keep that way as long as possible, but i think wheels are next for him

Yea i have to go look at mine to make sure, but if i didnt know any better it looks like its on backwards lol... (duno if thats even possible though)

Im pretty sure my DGR one goes around the back behind the front sump...its been so long since i bought it and installed it i cant really remember...i think they are different for KA and SR too though so that might have something to do with it.

Regardless, thanks for sharing if you can see if he has a build thread on ratsun or the510realm, i would love to check it out!

I will ask him to see if he has a build thread,
