Default Another Roush sided 350

Rear updated on page 2.

I finally got some time to get my new Roush Mustang side splitters on this past weekend. I am currently running the Stillen front with splitter so it matches now. Just need to figure out a rear. Hotchkis has also been on my mind but not until we pave the driveway as I already scrape my undercarriage going into the garage.

I bought a set of these and probably will install them soon. Have any tips/instructions? I know they have to be trimmed a little, but mounting them is the part I'm not 100% on.

Interesting...what's the part number of that Roush side splitter?

Is this what you guys got?

Looks good. I recently installed a set of universal carbon fiber splitters, similar concept to the Roush units but no pre-drilled holes (which I imagine the Roush units have). Had to be a little creative to mount them how I wanted but it turned out OK.

I used a dremel to cut off the mounting tabs flush and then I measured them against the car. There is about an inch that is not straight and is angled which you can see is the front on the Mustang picture. I cut mine at the intersection of the straight line and angle. The cut piece went towards the back so you are basically putting them on the reverse side that they are supposed to go on a mustang. I jacked the car up on the front side and put on the double sided tape. I used a tiny lip on the splitter to line up the front and drilled that hole first. I peeled the tape and placed the plug [not snugly] in and was able to line up the rest by myself. The tape held while i drilled the holes and placed the plugs. I also made a few new plug placements where the bow in the bottom of the side skirts took place and at the back.

Looks good! And at a good price. If this part were made for a Z it would cost way more than that! lol

If you can send me an undershot of one of the splitters installed, that would help x10000000

Looks great! Ive been thinking about doing this myself. The top secret rear diffuser would go well with your setup imo

I just got home and will get what i can for you. I thought about doing a How To but didn't have time. I used the holes that were pre made and then made 2-3 holes myself. Pictures before i head to work as I am putting up my rear diff in the sale ads at the moment.

Thanks.
I had thought about it but don't know how much i would have to cut for my exhaust to clear. I have been looking for an ING+1 Nspec rear as well.

I had to cut my TS replica diffuser to fit my exhaust but it was a small section, not visible from outside the car or anything. Don't let that deter you!

I agree that a simple side splitter like this looks good with the TS style rear diffuser. My splitters are carbon fiber, but here's an idea of how the setup looks:

I'd like those pics too ...I have a Varis lip and TS diffuser, but the side skirts look so naked...pretty close to jumping on this...

^ Thanks for posting those pics. Did you drill directly into the bottom of the side skirt, or did you drill into the flat "flange" of the side skirt (where the OEM side skirt fasteners are located)? Can't tell from your photos.

I drilled directly into the bottom of the side skirt. The holes will not be noticed if I take the splitters off but securely holds them to the car. I may have had 1/2" from the skirt edge to where I drilled as i was trying to bring the splitters out as far as i could. The double sided tape is almost right at the edge of the side skirt.

The splitters are not as heavy as the Stillen splitter and they give you plenty of plugs to do the install [over 20 I believe]. I used 6-7 plugs per side. You will cut the predrilled hole off when you trim these so I made my own hole at the back and then in the middle of where our factory skirts bowed.
