Got up earlier next day to go check out the Golden Temple and saw this on the way to the train station...

Before entering the main road to the Golden temple we stopped to eat, picking up stuff from a vending machine and saw this LOL...Anyone know what this is? "SNAKE!!!"

Theres a path that leads around the temple so you can snap pics from everywhere.
These little statues were bombarded with coins from all the visitors, not really sure why...Perhaps good luck or a wish comes true?

They have little shops at the end so you can buy all sorts of memories

Ahh what to drink... Saki, Wine, juices....

 

Lots of walking, stairs, and taking time trying to figure out the maps and train systems in japan made for one hell of a day. Afer dinner we all just crashed at the hotel. Didn't take any pics of the hotel, just very plain looking place we booked since we knew we were gonna be out and about instead of staying in doors.

 

Last place we tried to see that day was the Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto (filmed in Memoirs of a Geisha) but the place was closed

 

Pretty cool stuff, one place I've never been to but have always wanted to visit.
