NEW* Bat's one-piece overlays (On Brickyard)
I have the two piece overlays installed, they look great from a distance but there is a gap of red that you can see just underneath the hatch on top portion of the taillight. Is there anyway your new one piece is a little bit larger than the taillight so after applying it, it can be trimmed to a perfect fit?
Its too late for that, but I do still have the rear blinker overlays if you want to do an exchange and I will send you a check for the difference. Let me know. Also, can you answer the question about making the one piece a little larger so it will be easier to cover the entire taillight and then trim off the rest with a razor blade? Thanks.
ZX: I had the same problem. I had another overlay that I couldn't get to fit and Bat sent me replacements. I cut a thin strip from the old one and put it on to cover the red strip you are referring to.

Bonz, that is sweet!!
But here is the actual X-ray. I should take some pictures of what it looks like with the rod in there. They used a stainless steel one instead of titanium, they also thought that I had HMO, but really I had a PPO and they charged/treated me incorrectly. Talk about screwing up! Oh well, its not like I can tell them to take it out and upgrade it.
Also, I have only two bolts up top and one at the ankle.

i just had that done to my humerous bone about 3 weeks ago. i broke it real high on the bone almost right at the shoulder. had a titanium rod put in & 3 screws....the thing that confuses me about that xray is that the 3 screws are all above the fracture! dont you have to have one on each side to hold the rod in place? sorry im no doctor but i have to ask.........apologies for hijacking here.....

First of all, no one ever uses Titanium vs Steel based on your insurance! You must have misunderstood them. It all just depends on what system your hospital stocks and what companies they may have contracts with. One isn't necessarily any better or more expensive than the other. Also, the reason there are more screws in the pic I posted, is that this fracture is much worse than yours. If you look all the way down the bone you'll see that it is a segmental fracture (worse than yours which is pretty much a single clean break)

The canal of the humerus is much narrower than the tibia (shin bone) and you can often get away with just inserting the locking screws into the proximal part of the rod (the part above the fracture) since the bottom part of the rod is wedged into the canal pretty tightly and may not need a locking screw to prevent the rod from rotating (that's what the locking screws are for by the way).
Having said that, I usually always lock intermedulary rods (in any bone) both proximally AND distally. It is harder to put the distal ones in since you have to "free hand" them. The guides are not very accurate like the ones used for the proximal screws.
SORRY for the hijacking there Bat!

Yea, in my case I was fortunate enough to make a nice clean break, but because I didn't have my wallet with me at the hospital, they only took the name of my insurance carrier and just assumed that I had a HMO. When they went to go and bill me they were rejected and told to resubmit to the PPO accountant, so it made me wonder... Its okay though, I am back on my dirtbike and racing again and I have already healed back to my normal self. Hell, one month later after the initial break, I started driving my Z when I was strong enough to push in the clutch but still too weak not to use crutches, just image getting out of a Z infront of people at a convenience store. Yea I do have to say from one who has gone through alot of pain with a broken leg, the one you posted must have hurt really fu@king bad. BTW, was it one of your repairs?
And Bat, sorry for the thread hijack, I will post some pictures of the one piece's for you if you can make them slightly oversized to be trimmed to make up for it. Hint, hint..
