Brickyard with Charcoal or Frost?
I haven't been able to find any pictures of a brickyard-charcoal combination. My original inclination was to go with Brickyard-Frost, but now I am leaning toward charcoal (for absolutely no logical reason
). I guess that's what happens when you want to order one of the two options, without actually seeing either...
Can someone who actually has the car (Bonz, Boomer,...) give me their impressions about the interior, and help me decide?
As for the exterior, I think I am definitely going with brickyard... without seeing in person of course

I got the Frost interior because I wanted to go from dark to light and I couldn't be happier. I've received so many compliments about the color combo, I've even been surprised. The Brickyard has such a beautiful dark red and when you get close, you see its a metallic and then you open the door and with the silver-white frost seats, its a knockout.
I planned to contrast the 2 colors so it would be more dramatic than going with the black interior. Also, its too damn hot in Oklahoma in the summer for a dark interior, even if black does look great with the Brickyard. I got exactly what I wanted and I haven't regretted it for a minute. Oh, the floor boards are black, not grey, so it won't look dirty all the time if it had grey ones.
Boomer- hope this helps.

Thanks for your response. Good points about the heat and mats. It has been like high 90s for the last 6 months here in southern VA!
I have also ordered (technically, put a deposit, no order yet, but that's another story: "Dealer can't order until next month :-(") all options, including the side airbags on my touring model. I remember seeing pictures where these were darker (black?), which seemed a bit strange, and caused me to change my mind and go back and forth between frost and charcoal.
I just wish some pictures could do justice to the color combination I am looking for...

OK, I'm not usually great w/colors but I'll try again. What may be confusing you are the doors and dash. The doors and dash are a medium sharkskin grey, not like a suit, but a real simulated shark, like the fish. My wife, the ultimate Southern Belle, id'ed it immediately because she knew the history and practice of covering bags and valuable satchels with sharkskin in the past.
It surrounds the seats, which are silver-white. If they are grey, its the palest grey I've ever seen, beautiful color. The medium sharkskin grey continues onto the dash, both left and right sides of the center console. The console is darker grey, not black or charcoal, and its well done and focuses your eyes on the center of the dash with its cd player, air con, etc.
The headliner, Which Contains The Side Airbags, is a pale beige/tan basketweave fabric. Its nothing special, but who needs a fashionable headliner? The fabric is sturdy-looking and absolutely bland, you don't notice it at all unless you stare at it. It works fine with the other colors and practically disappears, which, if you think about it, is a good thing. Who cares about a headliner unless its ugly or poorly made, its neither, and complements the rest of the interior, which I like a lot. OK, thats it, no more attempts to describe the frost interior unless I get a lot of money electronically deposited to my checking account.
Boomer-best I can do, vivek. Hope you can visualize it.

Thanks for a really nice description, Boomer. I dare not visualize any more, as it's this visualizing/dreaming that got me into all this trouble (changing my mind every time I see a different interior) in the first place
I had always been a fan of lighter interior until I saw a friend's beautiful brand new black M3 with stuning black leather (I have no idea how Charcoal Leather compares with M3's black leather, but its elegant interior made me change my mind the first time
)
Toony: I will love to see some pictures if you could post whenever you get a chance; you can email me, if you prefer.
As for Brickyard, I will not ask anyone to describe *that* color! I am hoping it will be a pleasant surprise when I pick up my car some day...
Enjoy your cars!

I like that the Charcoal "blends in" really well with the rest of the interior, but on the other hand, I also love the "contrasts" created by the Frost! I am glad that none of the responses helped me with my decision
which means I can't go wrong with either. In any event, I am certain that the car will be a blast to drive, which is much more important than the colors...
Thanks again Toony and Boomer!
