Jotech is much better than Alamo... Alamo has no organization whatsoever, car parts all over the place. I don't trust a sloppy shop... My 0.02

But, Jotech is also the most expensive - 75 for 3 pulls, 100 for 3 widebands

ok... i'll rephrase... i'll go to a shop that is semi-local... from my house to DFW airport type distances are cool... my house to motorplex... probably not... not for a dyno...

Jotech is in Garland, not Ennis, so it's not that far.. Just take 635 down to Kingsley to get to Jotech.

well... three more to go...

i think we should just wait for Z_freak... I believe he is intending on having his new Z shortly... with all Nismo mods done (well a few at least) so he's gonna want to dyno it, most likely...

I'm only going to be a number 5 for the discount for you guys... plus i hate staying stuck in my house...

Garland doesn't sound THAT far... so i'll look into it..

there is only two of us undecided between Jotech and Alamo...

it's been said that Alamo is unorganized and sloppy, which is not a favorable characteristic... however they are experienced and cheap with the cost of running on thier dynojet...

Jotech is a more reputable of the two shops that charges a little more but has a (assuming) cleaner facility and same knowledge...

as far as i know that is where we stand...

hey don't sweat it... if everything goes as planned then i will be going with my stock silver... so unless the silver puts our more HP than the black...you will not be alone...muhahaha...

I just recieved my new (used) front bumper!!! woohoo... i'm excited... can't wait to get it installed... the guy didn't bother to mention this but it also has a Clear Bra already installed...SCORE

it has a small scuff just to the right of the nissan burger but i think it will polish out so, cheers to a new bumper! plus 10WHP!

UPDATE:

I just got off the phone with Jotech. Here's the summary:
-there is NO possibility for a discount, so $75 for baseline and $100 for FI or N20 Zs
-absolute minimum of 6, absolute maximum of 10
-because they're busy with projects and other things, the earliest date available for a group is on a Sunday, August 13th or 27th (they don't work on a sunday, so they'd be "doing us a favor by doing it on a sunday")

If anybody wants to call them and try to arrange something with either Jotech or wherever, you're welcome to try and post the results.

Who's going for sure?

Default wtf

Why is there a different charge for FI and NA? I wave the on this one... Sorry man, but that just rubs me the wrong way... There is no freaking difference between setting up an FI dyno and an NA dyno.

I think Jotech just lost my vote.

No, I don't think you understood.. For FI'd or N20'd Z's you are strongly recommended to get wideband pulls, which means you get to see your air to fuel ratio. For NA Z's, you don't NEED to unless you are heavily modded.

Wideband pulls add an extra process, as they would use the exhaust clamps to obtain the AFR.. or use the O2 sensor, but that takes longer.

Hope this clarifies some things.

Yea, not willing to give a discount rate does suck a weiner.. But JoTech is probably the best one around and is the one that's preferred for many people. We'll see what others say.

+1 Chris, keep searching for a better place, thats kind of chitty when you know smokey and track and prolly blackblwn would go but two of those are FI, we could get ten cars there but i am not giving my money to them if they are going to be snobby about it, nice call on the flag desi
