Yeah, I'll go up there to thank them. They always have awesome cars on their lot, so I'd like to check out their inventory as well. And they have a set of 19" Nismo wheels for sale that I'd love to see in person.

Anyone that wants to come to my house to hang after NTN is welcomed to.

I think I'm the first home today, so here's my results.

If I'd have stuck with my earlier prediction (and not listened to Chris ) then I would have performed higher than expected. I think I first predicted 230whp, and then at Chris' request I raised it to 250whp.

The first run (blue) is low because the tester backed out a little early. The second two runs (red, light blue) are to near redline.

In the end, I max'd 243.8whp, and max'd 219.5wtq but not on the same run. Numbers were pretty consistent on the last two runs.

Power-adder mods:
Nismo R-Tune CAI
Nismo R-Tune Cams (Stage 1)
Nismo R-Tune Headers
Nismo S-Tune Y-pipe
Nismo S-Tune Exhaust (Stage 1)

and a Nismo lightweight flyhwheel..not an "adder", but applicable here nonetheless.

Now, I'm not out to make big numbers with this car. That was what my last car was for (and it was a reliability headache). This car is about fun, so I'm very happy with these results. Though I think maybe I felt a wave of disappointment as the numbers rolled out.

I think folks were hoping to see more out of the cam. I was too a little, but I knew the Nismo cam was not an aggressive grind. Revs nice tho.

But don't let that discourage anyone who may be thinking of purchasing Nismo parts. They are TOP NOTCH, and believe me the cams, headers, exhaust, flywheel, clutch, and suspension combo really make this a whole different car. Even if the numbers don't reveal it. So if you're thinking of going Nismo...don't let these numbers fool ya! The fun factor is there 100%. (I sound like an ad for Nismo..lol But I like to stand up for them cuz I think they are often overlooked because they are "mild").

Of course, if you are out for peak hp numbers then perhaps Nismo isn't the way to go.

I will say that I didn't expect such a flat torque curve with such a low peak! It explains why the car is a blast to drive in any gear.

I wish this chart would have displayed the x-axis as rpm and not mph. It would be more meaningful. And I didn't get a copy of the a/f test, but it looked spot-on during the live-display. Or at least, what I would expect. I don't think I was running quite as rich across the board one would see stock, but probably still too rich. That's the OEM ECU for ya. Keeps me outta trouble though.

It's one of those ego things... I know there's more hp there and the ECU (and my grandma-style driving habits) tune the mappings down a bit. There's a little "dude" in my head saying "you know you want to see all the power!!" lol

The thoughts of a UTEC cross my mind. If there was someone down the street who had a proven and demonstrable track record tuning the UTEC then I would get it in a heartbeat. Just cuz it seems like a fun mod and it's relatively safe in the right hands. "In the right hands".. worth being said twice. Like I said, reliability is paramount.

Anyways, today was a blast! Food was good (Thx North Texas Nissan!) and as always the company was awesome! I always love a good dyno day!

Thanks Chris for putting this together and making it happen! I know that much have been a bit of work, so thanks man!!!

Ok, third try....the forum is having trouble posting. Hopefully there are no dups!

A little lower than I had hoped. but I'm still happy with these results.

I was hoping for a little more out of the cams, but I knew the Nismo cam was not an aggressive grind. Revs nice tho.

Of course, if you are out for peak hp numbers then perhaps Nismo isn't the way to go. But if you're looking for revvy, usable, and reliable then I cannot make a better recommendation.

I will say that I didn't expect such a flat torque curve with such a low peak! It explains why the car is a blast to drive in any gear.

Keeps me outta trouble though.

The thoughts of a UTEC cross my mind (again). But that's a whole different ballgame. And no local tuners anyway.

Anyways, today was a blast! Food was great (Thx North Texas Nissan!) and as always the company was awesome! I always love a good dyno day!

Thanks Chris for putting this together and making it happen. I know that much have been a bit of work, so thanks man!!!

This was a great meet/dyno day other than the heat/sun baking down on us. It was a lot of fun over at HPP Racing. I have quite a few pictures. I might post some of them in this thread a little later if I load them on the web.

Ok, my post is gonna be long.. lots of things to say.

First, I'd like to thank everybody that came out to HPPR. I think I speak for almost everybody when I say we had a great time there and got to hang out/talk to people without the awkward feeling you get when you first meet new people.

Second, I want to thank the people that bumped this thread. We wouldn't have to do that if only somebody stickied this thread like I asked him to, but.. oh well.

Third, I would like to apologize to Dave for making him guess higher. But we all know that his car can make so much more if he gets a tune or even just get on the accelerator from time to time to bump the stock ECU into "performance mode." But we all know Dave drives like a girl so it'll never get to that mode.

Lastly, I have the dyno files for everybody that was there that day EXCEPT Kyle's. Also, there's a problem with Dave's and Travis's dyno files. They show weird, incorrect data for some reason. So other than Kyle, Dave, and Travis, I have your dyno files. I can email you the file or just save it as an image and send it to you that way.

Dave mentioned that he wished the graphs would show engine speed and not the velocity. I can change that for you guys if you'd like (or you can if I email you the files). What you will be able to see from the file: hp, tq, rpm, afr, mph, rpm/mph, corrections, etc.

3hree5ive0ero: if you could correct the x-axis for me, and just post it up, that would be great. Of course...if you cant post it, then just email it to me. Mark Mito mandm177@gmail.com

thanks!
