There's a dallas imports meet every Wednesday night in Plano. LayDZee and I noticed another 350z, which was Chris. Waited around and started chatting with him.

Oh yeah, i remember that one, across from Java by CiCi's. I forgot about that meet, i had no idea that any of the local Z people attended that one.

 

First time i've been out there but from my understanding there aren't many Z people that attend it.

It's on Coit/Parker in front of Escape and Cici's. I was there with the girl when cars started showing up and parking around my car (which was away from other cars). After she went home, I stuck around to see what's up and met those two.

Nick, I don't really mind when I get the cats back as long as I get them. I don't want it tomorrow as I don't want extra however much they weigh.

I'd be surprised if anybody even runs mid 13s tomorrow. The weather's great, but it's way too damn high to set any records.

On days like these, you have to compare your times with those around you, not against your own previous times. If you don't, you'll only feel disappointed.

Hey how long do you guys think the race night will go on? I have to work but can be there about 10 or so? Just want to check out all the DFW ZZZZZ out there!!

 

I'll be there all night, regardless of our own little tournament. The tournament should last a good while also, since the track will probably be busy as usual (this year, it's a bit more popular). Anybody is welcome to come at any time.

 

Cool, I might go check it out after work....Seems like it should be a good meet...Is there people from local z forum showing up? (350zos)

 

The ZOS guys don't really mesh well with the guys from my350z.com, or it was like that before.

What: Drag Racing for All
When: August 10th, 2007 (Friday)
Where: Texas Motorplex at Ennis
Time: gates open @ 6, race starts @ 7
Meet up: be at Jotech (click for directions) @ 5:30pm
Price: $15 to race, $12 to cheerlead, free for first 20 racers to show up at Jotech

Your other incentives :
- All participating racers will get a Jotech shirt. (If I think of some other items we can get, I'll ask for those too)
- Prizes for 1st place winners in each category - FI & All Motor (prizes tbd, but expect something good )
- 2nd and 3rd places may also get prizes (depends on number of participants)

Some rules to keep in mind:
- Wear long pants; no shorts allowed
- You need to wear shoes that cover your whole feet
- Helmets are required for those that make a pass <14 seconds regardless of trap speed

Some things to keep in mind:
- Bring some money, as you'll get thirsty and hungry at the track
- Less weight = good = faster ET (so no need for stereo system, spare, etc)
- Find out what works for you and be consistent
- This tournament is accounts for your RT as well, so don't fall asleep at the tree

i'm pretty excited... i will be seeing how my new wheels do on the track, it's also going to be good for me cause i have a few work friends going...

it says be there at 5:30 but how long will we wait for the slackers.... and sunday drivers?
