A guy with a orange Z that hasn't ran in a year just signed up on the SASCA forum for the autox Sunday. Now we have 3-4 Z's showing!

Eh... just fyi, don't walk in the very last minute and register, I wouldn't recommend that at all this time. Our last autox Richard Watson was actually complaining about this, and saying that might not do walk-ins next time... I'm not sure if he's gonna do it or not though.

It's free to watch AND to ride along with drivers, sounds good?

As far as your concern - just... talk... to... Jason... about... it :-D

I think I wanna touch that Nismo Z this sunday.....

Hey Guys!

Who want s to come pick up a fellow Z owner on travel with nothing to do on Sunday?!?!?!??!?!

I missed a flight that I was supposed to be on this morning to fly down for the day, so I will be flying in later today, taking care of my business tonight, and the only time I can fly back is tomorrow evening at 6pm...so I have nothing to do tomorrow, help!!!!

If anyone wants to be so kind as to pick me up and take me to the race event, I would be very appreciative, and I'll give you a discount on a builtzmotor in the future

Where are you staying? I don't have any room in my Z to take another passenger due to my canopys. But maybe another Z owner does.

Just called Todd. He just flew in to SA from NM. He's currently looking for a hotel south of downtown. If anyone is in that area, please give him a call later tonight if you can give him a ride. I informed him that I will be calling him later if he needs a ride to tomorrow's autocross.

Well, Russ didn't too bad. Even did a "360" (I think) just for fun. One of his buddies in a 2006 "non-NISMO" Z ran faster. Here are the results of today's autocross:

Yea, I still need to learn the car some more but my last run of the day was the best and I know I could have done better. But I am pretty happy since I was beating people on street tires that had race rubber.
Here are a few pics someone took.

Yea Blaine has been AutoCrossing for a very long long time. He raced RX7's, RX8's. He is a damn good driver and eventually I plan to get that good. We use to be pretty close to each other in racing, but lately I haven't raced in a long time and just not use to this car, so it will take some time to get going again.

What!? Next time, I'll put on my RA-1s instead of the brand new "still slippery" Hankooks that I'm still breaking in!

After yesterday's autocross, I filled the tank with 10 gallons of gas to see if traction is better (experimented with 1/4 tank to see if lighter is better during yesterday's autocross). What a difference! I could not put any power down with just 1/4 tank but I definitely had more traction with 3/4 tank even with the new tires still slippery. I still need to scrub the new tires a bit more & run with a full tank of gas (which I usually do) next time to really get some traction in the rear.

Well, it handles much better than my G35 ever did. The car has alot of potential once a good driver gets behind it.

+1

Blaine was opening his throttle much sooner and harder, and most importantly he was able to keep it that way without spinning the tires (good car control). He's a really good driver.
