There, now you have a date!

What: West side meet up for anyone who wants to show up. A nice alternative to driving out to Dallas every weekend. Also, to step away from the Beach Street douchebagary while still having a decent sized meet up.
Who: Anyone and everyone is invited
Where: I20 and Bryant Irvin Road, in the Cityveiw/Fit for Life Parking lot
Time: Start showing up around 8:00pm
Cruise: To The Flying Saucer - $2.00 Cover, $2.25 Fire Sale drink specials, food

Trying to get a new weekly meet together. Also trying to get a big group together without the high school stupidity that seems to permeate Beach Street. You know, no sitting there bouncing the engine of the rev limiters, burnouts in the parking lot, anything like that. The location is right off I20, in a big, well lit parking lot. We will be parked out under the lights in front of the Academy, on the I20 side of the parking lot. Coming from Dallas or heading west on I20, exit Bryant Irvin and turn left. Go over I20, it is the first parking lot on your right.
We will be cruising out to the Flying Saucer. There is a cover, but they have good drink specials and food for anyone that wants to eat. Cruise route is simple. Take I20 east to 820, then from 820 take 287 into down town Ft. Worth. There will be a parking garage right there, it is free on the weekends. If you need any more info or want anymore info, just shoot me a PM or ask here, I'll answer what I can or get you my cell phone number. So come on out, and invite anyone you want!
Last time, Mazdas outnumbered Nissans 4-1. Right now, I'm getting a a decent feeler from the RX7 and RX8 guys, and have a few IS300 guys confirmed. The Evo kids are acting like little girls. Posted up on SRTForums as well, next up I'm gonna see if I can get some Euro guys and Honda guys, and after that comes the real challenge, getting the Mustang/Fbodies/Vettes. Spread this around, we want to make this big!

Definately worth doing again. For the first time through, I think we did ok. Not quite as large as I was hoping, but decent considering that I think we only had three or four "yeah I'll be there for sure" not show up, and a Stars game. We did get some good pictures, and put together a flier to post up. We had a few snags being our initial run, small misscomunications and organizational issues. Things that can be sorted out with nothing more than a bit of monday morning quarter backing and learning from the mistake. Definately problems I don't foresee showing up again. We also lost a few people on the cruise, a mix of getting mixed up in the construction on I20 and not being 21 so not being able to go to the bar. In order to fix that second problem, we are going to a place like Bennigans or Hooters or such this week so that we don't need to worry about people who show up not getting in. As for the first problem, that was just some bad route recon, which I'll take the blame for. I ran it five times Friday night just to get it down to see any pitfalls, and the construction was non existant on Friday night. So definately, would be great for some of you Z guys to show up, we didn't have any Nissans at all, and I really want to get a nice mix. Considering we had one Z the first time, I was looking forward to some more this time!
You'll have to forgive the bias towards IS300 pictures, my friend helping me out with this and taking pictures is with the IS300 club, so he tends to take more shots of his own kind, lol.
