I started to state that the reason I couldn't make it next week was because my graduation ceremony falls on that exact same time and date of the proposed meet. I'm graduating from dental school and I let everyone know they were invited to come watch me walk the stage. It was just a friendly gesture -- I never expected anybody to actually say yes.

However, I also didn't expect the response that I got from the OP either, who made me feel like a dumbass for extending the invite. So I just deleted that post and instead wrote: "Changed my mind as per a tasteless comment."

So no man, I won’t be able to make the meet. Don't know if I'd want to go either...you feel me?
