We definitely need a cruise, not sure if anyone is really interested in just getting together and just cruise, so this is the thread for that.

Post up any dates, stops, routes etc.

Probably meet somewhere relatively central... Grapevine, Flower Mound or Richardson area and take it from there.

No stops other than gas and refreshments.

Lets get this going and parade around the DFW metroplex!

We will meet up at the Starbucks at 10AM then roll out at 11AM. Dont be late or you'll have to play catch up, and believe me it isn't fun... i tried it.

Ok, so here's the initial route, it should take approx. 3 hours to drive... maybe too long for some, but a good start... make any detours and post up...

I really think Richardson is the best place to start, it covers McKinney, Allen, Mesquite, and isnt too far from Arlington, FW, Dallas, GV, etc...

Cowtown Z is going to do a cruise Saturday Nov 7 th in the late afternoon from Mansfield. They will meet to eat and then go to the Galaxzy Drive-In. I know they wouldn't mind any Z going on just the cruise part or more.

hey, everyone needs a vacation every now and then...

in 2006 we used to do this kind of stuff ALL THE TIME!!! it was great... and probably why alot of the DFW members have a bunch of miles... I remember one was about 4 hours long... but that included stops cruises... detours, etc...

it was nuts... in and out of the grapvine lake area... through alot of twisties and turns there, then up through Denton, back to FW, then to Dallas, then to Grapevine... stopped at Hooters, then we realized Hooters in FW had a Midnight Madness car show going, then we rolled up that place, about 10 to 15 strong... it was fun... would have won club participation if we had entered...

Yup, you and Robert from G-Vine used to be the main players when it came to setting up the meets and cruises.

No sense in breaking up the tradition

and to all, if the current cruise length is scarring you, feel free to jump in and out where ever or suggest detours, as of right now it's not set, but we should get it set soon and get an official date so we can get more people on board.

So i'll post up a date in a few hours, time is probably going to be like 10AM start.

I think it'll be best to do on a weekend as most people have that off. (me not being one of them) but if we're early in the morning, then i can still make it.

Im going to the austin cruise on Nov 14th..now thats a long one..so that makes this one look like cake. (for those concerned about it being too long) But I will plan on making this one..

Back when I used to try to get people to drag race we met up at Starbucks in Richardson (SW corner on Campbell/exit 26 & Hwy 75). There's a decent size parking lot at the hotel right behind Starbucks.

 

Huffines Park in Richardson is a popular area for meets.

I think the Starbucks would be a good idea just because it's early in the morning,

and sorry... everytime i get to work i forget to look at the schedule... i'll get it though... this wednesday.

but i do want to make it later so all the other meets dont quite clash with the cruise... with the hopes of a good turnout.
