I'll probably come out and watch and help with the grilling and such. Just thinking about driving out there makes me Maybe some ride alongs though. I'm hoping to get a rear sway bar and maybe see if that helps the understeer. If I get that in time maybe I will sign up just to see if it helps.

The best way to get your feet wet is to jump in the water.

You have work assignments for the morning and afternoon....but I guess if you tell them you have to go then you'll miss half of your runs....which will be only 4 out of 8.

Well I can still bring the grill if you want to cook anything Adam....but nuggets and some fries or chips will do me just fine.
I will be paying for Pat to drive since he will be helping me install my new Diff.

Most of what appear to be slaloms (because they are single cones instead of gates) are really just two offset gates. Using single cones rather than multiple gates that close together avoids a sea-of-cones from the driver's POV. They will be faster than they look.
Anyway, on the subject of getting better at slaloms, this is some great info from http://www.dmvrscca.org/topten.htm:

8. Attack the back. For slaloms (also applicable to most offsets), getting close to the cones is critical for quick times (see #1). To get close, we must move the car less, which means bigger arcs. Bigger arcs come from less steering and require earlier turning (see #2). Now for the fun part... When you go by a slalom cone and start turning the steering wheel back the other way, when does the car start to actually change direction? Answer: When the wheel crosses the center point (Not when you first start turning back!) How long does that take? If you are smooth, it takes .25 - .5 seconds. Now, how long is a typical person's reaction time? Answer: about .5 seconds. Finally, how long does it take to go between slalom cones? Answer: Typically on the order of 1 second. Given all of that, your brain must make the decision to begin turning the steering wheel back the other way just *before* you go by the previous cone!!
