Quote:
Registration and Tech Opens: 7:30-8:00am
Drivers Meeting: 9am
First car out: 9:20am
Get there early so you have time to clean out and prep your car, register, get your car inspected and walk the course. If you miss the drivers meeting you forfeit your first set of runs.
Register Here! Clubregistration.net Pre-registration is required.
Sign in -> Search for Events -> Organization “PCA” -> Select Club “Maverick Region PCA” -> Search -> 2011 Autocross #5 (6/11/11), View Details & Register -> Register -> Pay 30$
Don’t worry too much about the pop quiz on the Event Fee screen; just fill it out best you can.
PCA does not follow SCCA class rules. You will be put in a base class and given “points” based on modifications. See here to “score” your car. http://mav.pca.org/Events/Autocross/...cation2008.pdf
I’d bring the form with you. The PCA Autocross chair will provide us with a car class. I’ll post it as soon as I’m informed.
Come ready for 8-12 runs. They have a small group with a lot of seat time. We ended up with extra fun runs last time too!

SN - Name - Car # - Driver - PotLuck (Time Trial Only)
1. GWord256 - Gavin - #256 - Undecided - ?????
If I get my truck working (I know it's +1 month away) I sign up. I'll likely stay the night an bring my camper (also if I get that fixed too). I'd also need to slap on the racing pads (damn everything needs work :/ ).

I wish I could hit those time trials again soon, maybe next month or in October when it cools down. I will need to look at PCA's schedule.
Have fun Jerrett & good luck !

Time trials are alot of fun. They set it up with the start finish in the same place and you just keep doing your laps without stopping. When Chris and I did it they would do one warm up lap then 3 hot laps. It's alot faster than your typical autocross and it's a hell of alot of fun. I can't remember how many sets we did like that. I wanna say three or four. Either way man, 12-16 laps like that is a shiet load of fun and good track experience and it's really not much harder on the car than your typical autocross if at all.

I believe that they will be doing course #2 (my fav) for the Time Trial:
You get about 30 minutes of 1/2 speed practice in the AM where you can circle the course as many times as you want in that time. When the event starts, you will do one warm up lap and three hot laps, non-stop. You come back in, and after a brief pause, you do the same again. Then you go work. Then you have lunch. Then you do it again. In the PM, they usually do either two more sets of three or one set of four, depending on the time. You will get 10-12 hot, timed laps.
You will be in third and fourth gear on these courses.
They have instructors to help get you started. I am one of them and will be glad to help.
It really is a lot of fun and a nice change from autocross.
