Nah man you gotta study the map before hand so that when you get there you can be all pisses off when they change a thing or two at the last minute and it renders your extra study effort somewhat pointless lol

1. Pay registration fee.
2. Bring at least 1/4 tank of gas.
3. You will be provided a loaner helmet, unless you have one.
4. Bring something for pot luck.
5. ???????
6. Profit

Seriously. All you need to do is register and show up with a mostly working car. You'll be out in the sun all day standing on asphalt so pack accordingly.

As far as the car goes..

Tires in good shape-you dont need anything special your first time

Brake pads not worn out- you wont were your tires or pads that much but a good thing to check.

No obvious problems with bushings or wheel bearings

Fluids full

Battery secured

Car is good to go.

If you want some extra reading-
http://www.tirerack.com/features/solo2/handbook.htm

Its pretty detailed, its geared for SCCA events. this group were going to is laid back and you will have a good time.

We'll help you out, no worries

Questions are pretty much answered! My car is running perfect finally (blew my motor in march) finally fixed the kinks, anywho, I think in the next few days I will be registering, only crappy part is driving nearly 3 hours to race that early in the morning!

My only other question is, what do I need to remove from the car to race, do I need to remove floor mats, rear carpet and spare and all that?

Anything that is loose-

junk, floormats, spare tire and jack pretty much covers it. Bring your spare and just take it out at the meet. Everyone unloads there stuff (coolers tools etc ) in there spot and just leaves it there for the day.

ouch, where do you live.

I am just south of Denton, about an 1 1/2 hour drive for me.

As far as timing goes, there is a drivers meeting around nine. They shoot for nine but it dosent always happen. You need time to unload, sign in, we go and walk the whole course on foot to see whats coming(that takes the most time).
Say hi to a couple of people and you have burned an hour. I would shoot for a eightish arrival time.

Fort Hood, spare tire doesn't fit over the brakes anymore, was just kinda a question to stop a flame, haha

Ugh, I would need to leave at like 5am!

I may not be doing this event as it is so close to the BMW HPDE and I want to save the tires for it. So I won't be in this event.

Emad, are you gonna make the HPDE still ?

They have what is called PAX numbers. Its a number you multiply to the times of different cars. The result should come close to equalizing out the performance differences of the car and leave the difference to driving ability. Supposed to at least come close.

it's gonna be about 380 for front strut and rear sway. that's all i want on this car... i'll justify it if i get a bonus. just ordered wedding invitations last night.

ugh.

After the wedding, i really think i'm gonna debate on what to do with the g. i'm kinda burnt out on the g35. i lvoe the car, but i really want to track a small nimble car...
